• What equipment is required for WOW! fiber Internet?

  WOW! fiber Internet provides a Fiber Connection pack to get you online in every room of your home on Day 1 at no additional cost. Each pack includes:

  • A Fiber Terminal which will be professionally installed by WOW! in your home. The Fiber Terminal serves the same purpose as a modem - connecting your home to WOW!’s fiber-optic cable and high performance symmetrical service.
  • For 100Mbps/500Mbps/1 Gig Speeds:
    • One eero WiFi Access Point is included, bringing the power of the eero’s Pro 6e to every corner of your home, up to 2,000 sq ft.
    • This Access Point will enable you to connect to the internet wirelessly or via a wired connection.
    • Additional Access Points can be added to expand WiFi coverage and create an eero TrueMesh WiFi network.
    • With your eero Access Point, you’ll have access to eero's easy-to-use app that provides full visibility so you can be in control of your network, taking full advantage of your fiber Internet speed.
  • For 3 Gig and 5 Gig speeds:
    • One WiFi Access Point is included, providing up to 2,500 sq ft. of coverage.
    • This Access Point will enable you to connect to the internet wirelessly or via a wired connection. A wired connection to the Access Point is required to support maximum speeds.
    • eero Access Points are not applicable in this package.

  Your service speed reflects the maximum wired speed delivered to the Fiber Terminal at your location. The actual speed available to your connected device will vary, depending upon the method of connecting to the Internet (wired vs. wireless), the limits of Ethernet ports (e.g., when using a 1Gbps Ethernet port, your actual speed to a single device will generally be up to 940Mbps over a hardwired connection), the location, number and capability of WiFi devices and connected devices, and other factors outside of WOW!’s control.

• How secure is WOW! fiber Internet?

  WOW! fiber Internet includes network level security that is easy to use with no settings or management. Your protection is always on and running as a first line of defense for all of the devices in your home. This security helps protect you from viruses, malware and phishing. Within our security, the Network Safety Blocking Feature also helps block you from visiting malicious domains and URLs. Security is provided with maximum efficiency - no slow-downs caused on your devices and zero reminders to update any applications. On top of that, you can rest assured that WOW! Is continually working to implement updates and enhancements to our network.

  For customers with speeds of 1 Gig or lower who have an eero WiFi Access Point, you can add an eero security package to better monitor your usage, increase your privacy, and tighten your security. Learn more about eero Secure and eero Plus here.

• What other internet security options do I have?

  Customers who use eero WiFi Access Points (available for 100Mbps/500Mbps/1 Gig speeds) can add an eero security package to better monitor your usage, increase your privacy, and tighten your security.

  • eero Secure provides content filtering, ed/site blocking, tracking prevention, and network use monitoring.
  • eero Plus includes everything in eero Secure, plus three top-rated security apps: 1Password, Encrypt.me and Malwarebytes

• What is symmetrical download and upload speed?

  With WOW! fiber Internet you’ll receive symmetrical download and upload speeds, no matter which service you choose. Download speed is the time it takes for your computer to access information online and upload speed is the time it takes for your computer to send information online. With symmetrical speeds, you can access and send information online at the same speed. For example, you’ll be able to load videos and post pictures to a photo-sharing website at the same speed.
