How do I prevent purchases from being made on Video On Demand or Pay Per View transactional content?
You can use your Parental Controls to block Pay-Per-View in the same manner that you would block regularly scheduled programming (by channel number, rating, or time of day). However, to prevent Pay-Per-View or OnDemand purchases from being made, you can set up a purchase pin code. This will require a pin code to authorize any purchases.
How to Set Up a Pay-Per-View or OnDemand Purchase PIN for WOW! tv+:
- To set up your purchase pin code, go to the WOW! tv+ settings and then select WOW!TV
- From here select User Codes and then Purchase Code
- If setting up your purchase pin code for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the default pin code. The default is 1234.
- After entering the default pin code, you will then be prompted to enter your new, unique pin code to use in the future
- Please note that this same PIN is used when purchasing Adult content. As an additional layer of security - without any additional setup, the Parental Controls PIN is automatically required to enter the Adult section and view the list of content options.
How to Set Up a Pay-Per-View or OnDemand Purchase PIN for WOW! Original or ULTRA TV:
- Press Settings on the remote twice to display the General Settings screen
- Press the up- or down-arrow on the remote to highlight the Purchase:PIN
- Press the Select on the remote
- Press Select on the remote with Change highlighted
- Enter your current PIN: 0000 or 1234, if you are setting up your PIN for the first time
- Enter your new PIN
- Re-enter your new PIN to confirm your entry
- Press Exit on the remote to return to your programming
