What do I do if I'm having volume or ringer issues on my Poly Edge E320 or E400?
What You Are Experiencing
The phone is too loud, too quiet, not ringing at all, or ringer volume is inconsistent between calls.
How to Fix It
Adjusting Ringer Volume
- While the phone is on hook (handset in cradle, no active call), press the Volume + key (key 11) to raise the ringer volume.
- Press Volume - to decrease ringer volume.
- The volume level briefly appears on screen as you adjust.
Adjusting Speakerphone Volume
- Press the Speakerphone key (key 14) to activate speaker mode.
- Use Volume keys to adjust while the speaker is active.
Adjusting Handset Volume
- Pick up the handset.
- Use the Volume keys to adjust while the handset is off hook.
Phone Is Not Ringing at All
- Press Volume + while the phone is idle to confirm ringer is not at zero.
- Check that DND is not active.
- Check CommPortal to confirm status is Available for Calls with no active forwarding rules.
NOTE: The E320 does not support an Expansion Module.
If you need additional line keys or BLF contacts, the Poly Edge E400 supports up to 44 total lines and is compatible with the optional Expansion Module. Contact your WOW! account team.
NOTE: If your E400 is equipped with an Expansion Module, volume for calls is controlled at the main phone using the Volume keys. The Expansion Module itself does not have independent volume controls.
