Why doesn’t my speed test show the same speed I subscribed to?
Many factors impact your download and upload speeds, including the number of devices using your Internet connection, the capability of your devices, the location of the device accessing the Internet, whether you’re connected via WiFi and more.
The speeds in your service package are provisioned up to the speed you subscribed to and assume a wired connection via an ethernet cable (CAT6A or better) plugged into the ethernet port or approved modem or fiber terminal.
If you are connecting via WiFi, speed can vary further because WiFi is subject to the number of WiFi devices, signal strength, WiFi protocols, external interferences, environmental influences and other factors and variables beyond WOW!’s control.
