Can I use my own WiFi device?

You can lease WiFi equipment from WOW! with your Internet service– either a wireless modem (aka gateway) or a mesh WiFi system where you can locate multiple access points across your home. When you lease from WOW! you’ll receive devices that suit the internet speed you’ve selected, backed by testing and certification in WOW! labs. They’re also supported by our agents and technicians. If you prefer, you may provide your own WiFi device.

To get the best WiFi performance and speed select a WiFi device that has:

• 3.1 DOCSIS version View minimum modem/gateway compatibility requirements.

• WiFi 6 or greater technology.

• A maximum wireless speed that meets or exceeds your subscribed speed.

• TrueMesh WiFi that automatically optimizes to your home’s layout, proactively fixes issues and includes WiFi security.

• Wireless coverage that provides strong signal strength throughout your home.

• An ethernet port to enable direct wired connection.

If you choose to use your own equipment, you may need to contact WOW! Customer Service and provide us with the MAC address of your device so we can activate it on our network.
