WOW!'s Refer-A-Friend Program
TERMS & CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions (the “Program Terms”) apply to WOW!’s Refer-A-Friend program (the “Program”). By referring a friend, or placing a new order as a result of a referral, or otherwise participating in this Program, you agree to be bound by these Program Terms.
The Program Participation Requirements
Subject to satisfaction of these Program Terms and Reward eligibility criteria: (i) an existing residential WOW! customer in good payment standing, and the friend they refer to WOW!, are eligible to participate in the Refer-A-Friend Program, and receive a Visa® Prepaid Reward Card or other reward as determined by WOW! (the “Reward”) when the referred friend signs up online at wowway.com, for qualifying residential WOW! services. Current WOW! residential customers who initiate a referral are defined as "Referring Customers." Prospective WOW! customers who become a WOW! customer upon accepting a referral are defined as "Referred Customers" or “friends”; and (ii) Rewards are awarded only for referrals of the following WOW! residential services: (a) Internet 100 (download wired speed up to 100Mbps) or higher speed; and (b) a product combination that includes Internet 100 or higher speed (“Qualifying Service”). WOW! may at any time change the Qualifying Service required to receive a Reward under the Program; and (iii) by participating in the Program, the Referring Customer and Referred Customer agree that WOW! may share their name, email address, service installation status and date and other information with the Referring Customer and/or Referred Customer and others, including third-party providers, for the purpose of administering the Program.
Participation requirements are subject to change by WOW! at any time.
Reward Eligibility Requirements
In addition to the participation requirements, the following eligibility requirements apply: (i) to refer a friend and receive Rewards, the Referring Customer and Referred Customer must agree to the Program Terms and provide all required information; and (ii) the Referring Customer and Referred Customer must provide a valid email address and agree that WOW! (directly or through its third party Program administrator) may communicate with each party by email and disclose to each party certain information used in connection with the Program (such as name, email address and service installation status); and (iii) the Referred Customer must be a new residential customer located in a WOW! serviceable area who subscribes to a Qualifying Service. To be considered a “new” customer, the Referred Customer must not have been a WOW! customer for at least 90 days prior to the referral; and (iv) to accept the referral, the Referred Customer must: (a) activate the referral by clicking the Referring Customer’s unique URL in the email message shared from the Referring Customer’s dashboard, accept Program terms and conditions, and enter all requested information before ordering Qualifying Service(s); and (b) install/activate Qualifying Service within the first 90 days of the date of referral; and (c) have an active WOW! account in good standing 90 days after the initial referral. To be considered a customer in good standing, a Referred Customer is required to use the services in accordance with WOW! service terms and policies and pay all WOW! invoices for services in full when due.
If the Qualifying Service is cancelled, downgraded or changed during the above-referenced 90-day period, the Reward (if any), will be denied.
Under no circumstances shall a WOW! employee be eligible to receive a Reward as a new customer, nor shall a Referring Customer be eligible for a Reward for referring an employee as a new customer.
Eligibility requirements are subject to change. WOW! reserves the right to refuse to honor any referral based on a failure to adhere to the Terms of this Program, including these eligibility requirements.
Rewards
Under the Program, eligible Referring Customers and Referred Customers satisfying all Program and Reward participation and eligibility criteria shall each receive a Reward. The type and amount of the Reward shall be determined by WOW! and is subject to change in WOW!’s sole discretion. Subject to the Reward limits as explained below and satisfaction of all Program criteria, the Reward for the new Referred Customer and Referring Customer will be in the form of a prepaid card in the following amounts:
- New Referred Customer: A $100 Reward card for a Referred Customer who installs a new Qualifying Service and otherwise satisfies the Program requirements. Only one Reward per Referred Customer.
- Referring Customer: A $100 Reward card for each Referred Customer who installs a new Qualifying Service and otherwise satisfies the Program requirements. The maximum Reward amount for referring a Referred Customer is $100 per Referred Customer. Maximum of five referrals per calendar year.
No Rewards will be provided for the Referring Customer and the Referred Customer unless and until the Referred Customer installs and continues Qualifying Services in good standing for at least 60 days.
Reward Redemption Process
After satisfying all Program requirements, Referred Customer and Referring Customer will receive a redemption email that includes a link and pin code to redeem the Visa® Prepaid Reward Card. Once customers click the link and are redirected to login page, the Customer will enter in the redemption code, along with their name, mailing address and email address to verify all information is correct. Should a WOW! customer not receive a redemption email with the link for the Visa® Prepaid Reward Card, customer should check his or her spam folder first; if the email is not recovered, customer should contact WOW! at [email protected]. If customer receives an email but is unable to redeem the Visa® Prepaid Reward Card, customer should contact Customer Motivators at 1-888-689-3420. Customers must claim their Visa® Prepaid Reward Card within 365 days of receipt of email. WOW! is not responsible for unclaimed, late or lost cards. Visa, Inc. is not a sponsor or co-sponsor of this promotion. This card is issued by The Bancorp Bank, Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.
Limits and Reward Expiration
THE TOTAL NUMBER OF REFERRALS PER REFERRING CUSTOMER SHALL BE LIMITED TO FIVE (5) PER CALENDAR YEAR (I.E., $500), REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBER OF ACTIVATING CUSTOMERS ACTUALLY REFERRED AND/OR DATE OF REFERRAL. ANY VALUE IN EXCESS OF THE $500 LIMIT SHALL NOT CARRY OVER TO SUBSEQUENT YEARS.
Any Reward cards which have not been used within 365 days of issuance will automatically expire. Upon expiration of the Reward card, any unused funds will automatically expire. Reward cards may not be transferred, assigned or redeemed for cash. Reward cards are subject to the terms and conditions accompanying the Reward card.
Additional Terms
WOW! MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE OR MODIFY, WITHOUT LIABILITY, ALL OR ANY PART OF THE REFER-A-FRIEND PROGRAM (INCLUDING THE TERMS, TYPE AND AMOUNT OF REWARDS AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA UNDER THE PROGRAM), IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE. WOW! reserves the right to suspend or terminate any customer’s participation in the Refer-A-Friend program for fraud, abuse, misuse, harassment, or other inappropriate or suspicious activity that WOW! determines, in its sole discretion, compromises the fairness of the Program in any way. WOW! may change these Program Terms at any time, and by your participation in the Program, you agree to abide by the revised version of the Program Terms. If changes are made, the updated version of the Terms will be posted on the WOW! website.
All referrals under the Program must only be made online using the Referring Customer’s unique URL in the email message shared from the Referring Customer’s dashboard. All e-mail referrals must follow the email format and requirements specified by WOW!. Referral emails will not be sent to recipients who have opted out of commercial emails from WOW! and no Rewards shall be awarded with respect to any such referrals. Only referrals which follow the Program ordering procedures and satisfy all Rewards criteria shall be eligible for a Reward.
Rewards may not be combined with other referral rewards or similar programs. The Program is void in areas where prohibited.
