Do I need to rent a WOW! tv+ box, or can I just use my own device?
In order to have WOW! tv+ video service, you must rent at least one WOW! tv+ box. The WOW! tv+ box includes some unique features not available on your own devices, including the ability to rent videos OnDemand, access the Google Play Store and use a Google Voice Assistant remote.
How many of my own devices can I register with WOW! tv+?
There are currently no restrictions on the number of devices that can be registered on WOW! tv+. There are, however, concurrent stream limitations. Depending upon the type of device being used, there may be up to a 3 device concurrent stream limitation.
Can I take my device out of my home to watch my WOW! tv+ service?
Yes, you can take your device out of your home to watch WOW! tv+. However, the out of home experience has limited content availability, as not all live channels or OnDemand titles will be available for viewing out of your home.
Do you sell streaming devices that I can purchase?
No, we do not. We do, however, rent WOW! tv+ boxes that have a voice remote for searching your favorite content, a Google Play store to add third-party streaming apps and much more.
What happens if I lose my device and it’s logged in to my WOW! tv+ service?
We recommend immediately changing the password to your WOW! account, which will prevent any future logins under the old password. All WOW! tv+ devices will automatically log out of any associated accounts every 6 months. You can also contact our WOW! Care team and have any devices removed from your account.
Will my recordings from my WOW! tv+ box show on my streaming device?
Yes, they will! Your device will sync with your WOW! tv+ box. This means that if you set a recording on your WOW! tv+ box, that recording will show on all of your streaming devices. It may take up to 1 hour for your devices to sync with your WOW! tv+ box.
Can I rent an OnDemand title on my streaming device?
The ability to rent OnDemand titles is only available on WOW! tv+ boxes. Once you rent an OnDemand title on your WOW! tv+ box, that title will then show as available to watch on your device within 1 hour of your successful rental transaction.
Will I still be able to access and utilize Parental Controls when using my device?
Yes, parental controls will be available on the WOW! tv+ application on your device.
If I don't currently have WOW! tv+, how can I get started?
If you would like to purchase WOW! tv+, you must contact us and speak with one of our sales associates over the phone. You can find additional information and next steps here. Please note that a 100Mbps or higher WOW! Internet connection is required to receive WOW! tv+.
What’s the difference between WOW! tv+ and streaming TV?
WOW! tv+ is our in-house, best-in-class traditional video offering, which is available in 3 different package sizes (Small, Medium and Large). Each package comes with a set of predefined channels, although certain add-on channels can be bundled. If you’re interested in learning more about WOW! tv+, you can find additional information here.
Streaming TV, on the other hand, is administered through third-party partners and typically provides more tailored video solutions.
While customers that subscribe to one of our streaming TV options can still use their device to watch all of their favorite streaming services — such as YouTube TV, Philo, Sling, FuboTV and more — you will not be able to watch WOW! tv+ content unless you have bundled WOW! tv+ with your WOW!
