How do WOW! tv+ Sleep Mode and Screen Saver Mode work and how do I manage them?

Sleep Mode is enabled when your TV is idle for 3 hours and your set top box is placed into a low power mode, on standby. A Screen Saver appears after inactivity, but while your set top box is still on and active. Different times of inactivity can be controlled for each mode.

How Sleep Mode Works:

After 3 hours of inactivity (or if you press the power button on your WOW! tv+ remote), your set top box reverts to Sleep Mode and your TV screen will be blank (black). While in Sleep Mode the set top box's LED light will be blue (indicating it is in standby).

To exit Sleep Mode, you can simply turn the set top box's power on by pressing the power button on the box or your WOW! tv+ remote.

You may decrease the length of inactivity that triggers Sleep Mode to 30 minutes or 1 hour by going to Settings, selecting Device Preferences and then Screen Saver.

How Screen Saver Mode Works:

After 2 hours of inactivity, a Screen Saver will appear on your TV screen. While in Screen Saver mode, the set top box's LED light will remain white (indicating it is on and active).

To exit the Screen Saver, simply press any key on your WOW! tv+ remote. You may decrease the length of inactivity that triggers a Screen Saver to 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour by going to Settings, selecting Device Preferences and then Screen Saver.

You can also select the type of screen saver you'd like to see here (images or colors).

How to Customize Your TV Screen Saver:

Additional screen saver options are available in the Google Play Store.

Select Apps & Games from the WOW! tv+ set top box home menu and then select the Google Play Store tile to enter the store. Type screen saver into the Google Play Store search bar to find screen saver options/apps. Once you select an app, you will be given an option to Install.

Please note: WOW! does not manage any of the 3rd party apps available from within the Google Play Store.
