How do I manage Closed Captioning on my WOW! TV service?

Closed Captioning Assistance is provided for the Hearing Impaired Community with all WOW! video services.

Closed captioning may be turned on or off through your TV or digital receiver. If you do not have a digital receiver, refer to your TV owner's manual for more information. If you have a digital receiver, follow the instructions below. After following these steps, if you find that closed captioning is still appearing on your TV, it has been turned on through your TV set. Please refer to your TV owner's manual for more information.

If Fixed was set for the volume control (Can be verified in the general settings by pressing the "Setting" button twice):

  • Press the "Settings" button on the remote control to enter the Quick Settings menu.
  • Scroll to "Caption Off/On" using the up and down arrow on the remote control.
  • Press the right arrow button on the remote control to set option to "Off."
  • Press the "Select" button on the remote control to save the setting. If Variable was set for the volume control (Can be verified in the general settings by pressing the setting button twice):
  • Press the "Settings" button on the remote control to enter the Quick Settings menu. Scroll to "Caption Off/On/On with Mute" using the up and down arrow on the remote control.
  • Press the right arrow button on the remote control to set option to "Off." Press the "Select" button on the remote control to save the setting.
