August 8, 2001
Dear Turtle Lake Association Member and Friend,
Thank you for responding to the 2001 Turtle Lake Improvement and Protective Association Survey. The response rate was excellent, and the information was reviewed at the July 28th meeting. The Board plans to continue to focus on Eurasian water milfoil control, and may have an opportunity to begin a Lake Classification project this year. We will also try to address education concerns (boating regulations, etc.) by distributing guidelines to lake-users. If you had a specific comment/concern noted on your survey, we have responded to each comment individually. In some cases, we have offered a suggestion of the group or Agency who can best assist you in that area.
It was interesting to note that so many of us use the lake for a variety of interests. Some of us were looking for "Swimming" to overtake "Boating", but "Relaxation" was the big winner!
As a final comment - we are in need of members who would be willing to take a position on the Turtle Lake Association board - either as an officer or board member. The board offers an opportunity to become more involved in decisions concerning Lake Activities, and offers a chance to become more acquainted with the many wonderful people on Turtle Lake. Please call Patrick Carroll at 262-728-3718 (Email pcarroll@idcnet.com) or talk with any other board member if you would be willing to be on the board - even if just for a year or two. There are approximately 4 meetings per year, and they are held on weekend days so that all can attend. Please consider volunteering!
Again, thank you for taking the time to respond to the survey. If, inadvertently, you did not receive a survey this year, please let us know so that we may recheck and update address listings. Please contact Mary Baas at 847-934-3291 with any additional comments/questions.
Sincerely,
The Turtle Lake Association Board
