Old Business

Milfoil - There is an existing bed near the Crystal Bowl. D. Gronert stated that the State wants to avoid overspraying, but we may be able to pull the Milfoil, though pulling may be futile if the Milfoil seeds spread. There are also bad areas in the channel and near "Snail Island". Overspraying leads to fish kills and the death of beneficial vegetation. Milfoil won't grow deeper than 15' due to water clarity.

Can we spray next year? We need to have people who see Milfoil report it in order to locate infestations.
Can we get funding through the Township?

6) Sportsman's Club

Sponsors the Fishing Derby - goal of which is to teach underprivileged kids to fish.
The Board noted the existing animosity between the Association and the Sportsman's Club. In the past the Board attempted to involve the Sportsman's Club with no response from the Club.
The Board will talk to the Club regarding cleaning boats prior to launching into the lake.

7) Neighborhood Watch
The first step is to let your neighbor know how to contact you if you are away from the Lake. The neighborhood watch is a part of the Association. Crimestoppers is run by Walworth County.

8) Lake District
A packet is available with additional information, do we want to follow up? The Board decided to form a committee and present information and possibilities to the Association. Someone will attend the March 24 meeting and get further information. Cheryl is willing to host a small meeting with a rep from an existing lake district. Richard Roman would like to attend. Cheryl will talk to Pat and get phone numbers to set up meeting. Attendees: Cheryl, Mary, REK,, Groenerts, Romans
Need to find someone willing to come out and discuss their lake district.
